A Guide Michelin-Starred Restaurants in Dubai

On 4 July 2024, Michelin presented its updated selection of restaurants for the MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2024 at an event held at the One&Only One Za'abeel hotel. Over 100 establishments representing 35 different types of cuisine impressed Michelin inspectors and were included in the final selection for the year.

The third edition of the Michelin Guide Dubai has four new restaurants awarded one Michelin star, one restaurant awarded two Michelin stars, and six restaurants received the Bib Gourmand label.

Anonymous Michelin representatives scour Dubai in search of interesting establishments. They evaluate the following criteria:

• quality of ingredients,
• the craftsmanship of the dishes,
• harmony of flavors,
• the personality of the chef,
• consistency over time and across the entire menu.

How are the stars distributed?

• One star is awarded for cuisine that is worth a stop.
• Two Michelin stars are given for excellent cuisine that is worth a detour.

Two Stars: Il Ristorante — Niko Romito

Echoing the stylish design of the Bvlgari Hotel Milano, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito at the Bvlgari Resort Dubai is a tribute to the rich Italian heritage. Every element of the ambiance has been hand-picked to create a seamless experience. Raised banquettes offer sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf, while the black ceiling creates the illusion of al fresco dining.

Two Stars: Row on 45

Row on 45, curated by renowned chef Jason Atherton, brings the fine dining experience to City Social. Set in a stylish, penthouse-inspired setting, the restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere for 22 guests. Situated on the 45th floor of Grosvenor House Dubai, it offers stunning views over the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina. Row on 45 received two Michelin stars in its first year of operation.

The evening is divided into three parts. It begins with appetizers in the lounge; then, guests move to the main dining room, which is complemented by a modern open kitchen. The 17-course menu reflects Atherton's culinary journey and his love of seafood.

Each plate features a sumptuous presentation of ingredients, from brown crab to Hokkaido scallops and 100-year-old balsamic vinegar to Saroma A5 wagyu. The final part of the evening takes place in the Chef's Library, where desserts are served.

Yannick Alleno is a respected chef. His restaurant STAY offers classic French cuisine prepared with modern techniques and a pastry library where desserts are prepared to order.

The establishment's interior impresses with high wooden walls, white columns reaching the ceiling, black chandeliers, and interesting patterns.

Alan Yau's British Chinese-inspired restaurant chain has expanded globally. In Dubai, Hakkasan is hosting Atlantis The Palm.
