The Dubai Fountain is in Downtown Dubai, right by the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. It’s a great spot for tourists! The fountain show happens in the Burj Khalifa Lake, just steps from the Dubai mall. The mall is a huge place to shop and eat. You can watch the show from many spots around the lake, like the bridge near Souk Al Bahar, a nice market with food.

Dubai Fountain Show Timings

The Dubai Fountain performs every day. During the day, shows are at 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM. On Fridays, it’s 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. At night, the Dubai Fountain show happens every 30 minutes from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Each show lasts 3–5 minutes. The evening shows are our favorite with bright lights. Note that after April 2025, the fountain will close for 5 months for repairs. You can check Dubai Fountain show times after the renovation is completed.

Fountain Show Lake Ride and Boardwalk

The best way to see the fountain show is up close. The Dubai Fountain offers two special ways: the boardwalk and the lake ride. Both let you feel the water show Dubai in a unique way. You can buy tickets at the Dubai mall, but go early since many people want to join. The tickets are sold near the Burj Khalifa entrance, and you might need to wait a bit during busy times like weekends.

The Dubai Fountain Boardwalk is a path over the water, 272 meters long. You’re just 9 meters from the Dubai Fountain! You can feel the water spray and hear the music loud and clear. It costs 20 AED to walk there, and you can stay as long as you like. It opens at 5:00 PM and closes at 11:00 PM. Kids over 4 can come too. It’s a great spot for pictures of the fountain show.

The Fountain Lake Ride gives a lot of emotions to tourists. You ride a small boat called an abra on the fountain lake. You’re right in the middle of the show! The boat leaves 15 minutes before the fountain show starts. It costs 68.25 AED per person for a 30-minute ride. Only 8 people fit on the boat, so it’s cozy. Kids under 3 go free. Tickets are at the Dubai mall near Burj Khalifa. The boat ride lets you see the Fountain from a lake viewpoint, and the music sounds amazing on the water.

More About the Dubai Fountain Show

The fountain show is one of the biggest in the world. It opened in 2009 and was made by the same people who built the fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The Fountain is huge — it’s over 275 meters long, and the water can shoot up to 140 meters high. That’s like a 45-story building! It uses 6600 lights and 25 projectors to make the show colorful. The music changes each time—sometimes it’s Arabic songs, sometimes pop or classical. You can listen to songs like "Thriller" by Michael Jackson and "Time to Say Goodbye" by Andrea Bocelli. It’s a beautiful choreography for tourists to enjoy. It never happens the same show twice, which makes it so special.

You can also eat nearby after the show. The Dubai mall has many restaurants, like Cheesecake Factory, with amazing cakes for 40 AED. Or try Souk Al Bahar for Arabic food—it’s right across the lake. Bring a light jacket if you’re watching at night, as it can get a bit cool. We suggest arriving 15 minutes early to get a good spot, especially on weekends when it’s busy.
